HazView Features Overview
HazView has a number of features designed to improve your sites hazard management. A general overview of HazView is provided in the video walkthrough below. There is also a breakdown of each of HazViews core functions.
You can use the search menu at the top of the website to find specific information at any time.
HazView Overview
Home Screen
The HazView home screen allows you to access all the core functions.
- On PC and tablets, the menu is on the left hand side of the screen.
- On mobile phones, the menu is at the bottom of the screen.
On the home screen, you will see the latest hazards, any uncontrolled hazards, and hazards which have not been inspected in the last 7 days.
Connection Details
- HazView functions online and offline. Your connection, update, datasync and offline map statuses are shown at the top of the screen.
The Hazard Map

Select the Map icon to access the hazard map.

The hazard map allows you to view your sites map tiles, hazards and uploaded layers.
Hazard Details

By selecting a hazard on the map or by clicking its icon on the home page, you can access all of that hazards details.

This includes descriptions, properties, photos and videos, reports, controls, comments and its inspection history.

Alerts and Notifications

HazView gives you control over alerts and notifications.

Users can be notified of new hazards, changes to controls and more!

Notifications and alerts can be assigned to certain user types (e.g. supervisors informed when a control is marked as non-compliant)
Inspections and Controls
- HazView allows users to submit inspections of controls.
- Controls can be assigned to any hazard.
- Inspections allow users to mark the controls as Compliant, In Progress, and Non-Compliant.
- Alerts are sent to designated personnel if controls are non-compliant or in progress. The details are also shown on the home screen.
The Hazard Archive

The hazard archive is a table with the hazard details for every single hazard that has ever been added.

This table includes all active and inactive hazards, and all associated properties.

You can resize and reorganise the columns by clicking on them and dragging them.
Settings and User Control
- HazView allows for customisation of almost everything from hazard types, properties and rating systems through to user controls and permissions.
Customer Support
HazView has a dedicated customer support help desk. This can be accessed from within the HazView app menu, or by clicking the button below.
